Bay Point Regional Shoreline, Bay Point: paddleboard and kayak launch

Bay Point Regional Shoreline, Bay Point: launch details

Sheltered launch on the J Channel slough where the Bay meets the Delta, with access to the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers, Honker Bay, and Suisun Marsh. An ADA low-freeboard dock holds water at all tides, about 1,000 feet from the lot, so a boat dolly helps. Paved parking, accessible restrooms with potable water, and picnic areas are on site. The channel is calm and good for less experienced paddlers, but mudflats expose at low tide and the open river brings strong currents, wind, and commercial vessel traffic.
