Downtown Napa - Main Street Dock, Napa: launch details
Destination dock on the Napa River fronting downtown Napa's riverfront, meant for tying up rather than launching, since paddlers put in elsewhere on the river. A high-freeboard dock has nine cleats plus a seasonal low-freeboard kayak dock from April to October, open 7AM to 11PM with a three-hour limit and no overnight. The accessible gangway runs about 112 feet with two rest platforms, and public restrooms are nearby downtown. The river is tidal with strong winter currents and shared with motorboats, so stay along the sides and out of the main channel in heavy traffic.
