Petaluma Marina, Petaluma: launch details
A ramp-and-dock launch on the tidal Petaluma River, navigable 1.5 miles upriver to the downtown Turning Basin and about 12 remote miles downriver toward San Pablo Bay. Put in from the boat ramp or high-freeboard dock, open sunrise to sunset, with a boat-washing hose on site. Ample parking sits near the launch, with restrooms at the harbormaster office plus picnic tables, a hotel, and restaurants. The river is tidal and winds and currents can be strong.
