Mission Creek / McCovey Cove, San Francisco: paddleboard and kayak launch

Mission Creek / McCovey Cove, San Francisco: launch details

Launch from the ADA-accessible floating dock at Mission Creek Park, 10-15 minutes from McCovey Cove with Bay Bridge views the whole way. The creek is sheltered and nearly current-free. On Giants game days the cove gets crowded with ferries and spectator boats, so stay alert outside the creek channel. Pier 52 at Bayfront Park, just south in Mission Bay, is San Francisco's public launch ramp, with two boat ramps, an ADA low-float dock, and trailer parking. Pier 40 at South Beach Harbor is another nearby put-in and home to the City Kayak outfitter.
