Islais Creek, San Francisco: launch details
A protected-water landing on Islais Creek in San Francisco's southern industrial waterfront. Launch from the gravel beach or the high-freeboard dock reached by an ADA gangway. There are 18 public spaces on Arthur Avenue plus street parking, a creekside park with benches and picnic tables, and a portable restroom when the Kayaks Unlimited co-op is on site. The main hazard is marine industrial traffic near the creek mouth, so give ships, barges, and tugs wide berth and the right of way.
