Hookton Slough, Hookton: launch details
Winding tidal slough through the salt marsh at the south end of Humboldt Bay, inside the national wildlife refuge. Sheltered water and heavy bird life. The bay here is shallow and drains to mudflat on a big low, so the tide decides how far you get. Parking and restrooms at the trailhead.
